How to Fill Out
Your Profile
Step-by-Step Guide to Fill Out Your Profile for the Most Accurate Meal Plan

Food Allergy
A food allergy happens when the body's immune system mistakenly sees a certain food as dangerous. In response, it creates special antibodies (IgE) to fight it. The next time you eat that food, your body releases chemicals like histamine, causing an allergic reaction.
Common symptoms include:
-
Hives (red, itchy skin)
-
Vomiting
-
Tightness in the throat
-
Trouble breathing
In severe cases, a life-threatening reaction called anaphylaxis can happen. This requires immediate medical attention, as it can be fatal if not treated right away.
Allergy symptoms can appear within minutes or even hours after eating the food. If you suspect a food allergy, it's important to identify the trigger and avoid it completely.
Food Sensitivity
Food sensitivity happens when the immune system reacts to certain foods by producing antibodies called IgG. This triggers inflammation in the body each time the food is eaten.
Common symptoms include:
-
Joint, muscle, and stomach pain
-
Migraines
-
Digestive issues like bloating, constipation, and diarrhea
-
Chronic respiratory problems (asthma, rhinitis)
-
Other non-specific symptoms that can vary from person to person
Unlike food allergies, which cause immediate reactions, food sensitivity symptoms can take hours or even days to appear. This delay makes it harder to pinpoint which food is causing the problem.
Food Intolerance
If certain foods make you feel uncomfortable but tests show no allergy or sensitivity, you might have a food intolerance. Unlike allergies, which involve the immune system, food intolerance is a digestive issue—your body can’t properly break down certain foods due to a lack of necessary enzymes.
Common symptoms include:
-
Bloating
-
Stomach pain
-
Diarrhea
These symptoms usually appear soon after eating the problematic food.
Common triggers include dairy (lactose), gluten, and certain additives. While food intolerance isn’t dangerous, it can make you feel unwell and affect your daily life. Avoiding trigger foods or finding suitable alternatives can help manage symptoms.
